Pennsylvania business fined after OSHA investigation

Pennsylvania employers and employees both want as safe of a working environment as possible. In fact, employers are obligated under many state and federal laws to provide a safe working environment. Despite these safety regulations, accidents continue to happen in the workplace. When a workplace injury occurs, the injured worker is often entitled to workers' compensation, which covers medical expenses, lost wages and pain and suffering caused by the accident.

When a semi-truck comes barreling towards a car, that car does not stand much of a chance. In fact, it is very likely that the car will sustain heavy damage and that those in the car will be injured. Commonwealth v. Candice Steinbacher – Motion for Judgement Acquittal Granted

Motion for Judgment of Acquittal for a Driving Under the Influence (DUI) prosecution was granted by Lycoming County President Judge Nancy L. Butts, after Attorney Kyle Rude argues that the Commonwealth could not prove Ms. Steinbacher was in actual physical control of a motor vehicle. Ms. Steinbacher was arrested after Williamsport City Police believed she switched seats with her boyfriend in order to avoid an arrest for DUI.
