Motorcycle accident results in severe injuries and charges

While this time of year, many motorcycles are packed away for the winter, the effects from earlier motorcycle accidents are still being felt all around Pennsylvania. Recently, a criminal trial has been taking place to try and determine if a woman is guilty of felony aggravated assault after she caused a motorcycle accident.

Early winter often brings with it an adjustment period as people remember how to drive in difficult weather conditions. While the snow and ice slows down many drivers, some still refuse to adjust to the changing conditions and car crashes occur.

Generally, when someone is invited on to the property of another, they expect that the property is going to be free dangerous property conditions that could lead to injuries. This is especially true when someone is in public.

Pennsylvania man electrocuted on the job

A Pennsylvania worker was recently injured on the job. According to reports, the 49-year-old man was working on cleaning and doing maintenance on spike protection devices on a couple of ground transformers called snubbers. The power was supposed to be transferred from the primary snubber to an alternative snubber so the cleaning process could occur. However, reports say that the power to the facility was briefly lost and somehow in the process the worker was electrocuted.

Commonwealth v. Candice Steinbacher – Motion for Judgement Acquittal Granted

Motion for Judgment of Acquittal for a Driving Under the Influence (DUI) prosecution was granted by Lycoming County President Judge Nancy L. Butts, after Attorney Kyle Rude argues that the Commonwealth could not prove Ms. Steinbacher was in actual physical control of a motor vehicle. Ms. Steinbacher was arrested after Williamsport City Police believed she switched seats with her boyfriend in order to avoid an arrest for DUI.
