Two trucks collide on Interstate 80 in Pennsylvania

Large commercial trucks are responsible for carrying natural resources and consumer goods all across Pennsylvania and the entire United States. Without these trucks, people would not have access to many of the cheap goods that line the shelves at stores. However, these consumer goods sometimes come at a price -- the safety of those of the roads.

While many truck drivers are perfectly safe, many are under intense pressure to deliver goods as fast as possible. This can lead to overstressed, over-tired drivers on Pennsylvania highways. These drivers may cut safety corners, ignore traffic rule or become easily distracted. All of these behaviors can lead to a truck accident.

Recently, two tractor trailers collided in Pennsylvania. According to reports, the accident occurred on Interstate 90 in White Deer Township near the exit at Mile Run. While there are not specific details about how the accident occurred, it is known that the trucks were traveling west when the accident occurred.

The damage from the collision caused the highway to be shut down for a few hours. During this time, traffic was rerouted through Williamsport.

A truck accident can involve serious injuries. These accidents often involve passenger vehicles that do not offer the same types of protection that a tractor trailer can provide. Therefore, injuries can be even more severe.

In these cases, truck accident victims can take legal action. By filing a personal injury suit, these victims may be able to recover compensation for their injuries.

Commonwealth v. Candice Steinbacher – Motion for Judgement Acquittal Granted

Motion for Judgment of Acquittal for a Driving Under the Influence (DUI) prosecution was granted by Lycoming County President Judge Nancy L. Butts, after Attorney Kyle Rude argues that the Commonwealth could not prove Ms. Steinbacher was in actual physical control of a motor vehicle. Ms. Steinbacher was arrested after Williamsport City Police believed she switched seats with her boyfriend in order to avoid an arrest for DUI.
