Trucks, by their very nature, can cause large and unpredictable crashes. Trucks can weigh up to 80,000 pounds. A Pennsylvania man arrested last month for causing a fatal motorcycle crash recently waived his right to a preliminary hearing in court. Charges levied against the accused include homicide by vehicle, accident involving death or personal injury while not properly licensed, and accident involving death or personal injury, along with five other criminal counts.

As this blog has mentioned in the past, more and more elderly drivers are on the roads in Pennsylvania. With larger numbers of older drivers, there are more accidents involving the elderly. These accidents can become lethal when a large truck is involved. Pennsylvania man killed in motorcycle accident

As winter fades to spring and summer, many Pennsylvania residents will enjoy taking rides on their motorcycles. Commonwealth v. Candice Steinbacher – Motion for Judgement Acquittal Granted

Motion for Judgment of Acquittal for a Driving Under the Influence (DUI) prosecution was granted by Lycoming County President Judge Nancy L. Butts, after Attorney Kyle Rude argues that the Commonwealth could not prove Ms. Steinbacher was in actual physical control of a motor vehicle. Ms. Steinbacher was arrested after Williamsport City Police believed she switched seats with her boyfriend in order to avoid an arrest for DUI.
