Car collides with motorcycle, killing two Pennsylvania residents

The Impala was also badly damaged in the accident; it sustained significant front-end damage. Both the driver and the passenger in the car were transported to a local hospital following the accident. Neither of them were seriously injured.

Police had to shut down the streets surrounding the accident for more than three hours. Police talked to witnesses, took measurements and inspected the vehicles involved. This work will be critical in determining how and why the accident happened.

Investigations are an important aspect of determining liability in motorcycle crashes. Most importantly, they help to reveal if one of the drivers was negligent. Drivers who are negligent or distracted can be held responsible for compensating victims they have hurt by their behavior.

Motorcyclists are particularly vulnerable in accidents and can easily suffer serious injuries, death and large medical bills. Those lucky enough to survive motorcycle accidents need to ensure that proper investigations are conducted so that liability can be established and they can be fairly compensated for their injuries.

Commonwealth v. Candice Steinbacher – Motion for Judgement Acquittal Granted

Motion for Judgment of Acquittal for a Driving Under the Influence (DUI) prosecution was granted by Lycoming County President Judge Nancy L. Butts, after Attorney Kyle Rude argues that the Commonwealth could not prove Ms. Steinbacher was in actual physical control of a motor vehicle.
